Learn Four Things That Can Make Your Life More Meaningful

When you spend your life by merely to survive, life can start to seem a little empty and pointless to you

And this can make you live a boring and uninspiring life. And truth be told,  this is exactly how many of us live our life.

We work for eight hours or more a day and then come back home feeling too tired and exhausted to do anything meaningful to change our life for the better by merely sitting down to watch Television, dose off, and waking up the following morning to start all over as we did a day before. WHAT A BORING LIFE TO LIVE!!!.

The same thing repeats itself in your life and the irony part of it all is that you see yourself as living the most enjoyable aspect of life. The most excitement you always look forward to is when will you have a holiday and even once a year is more than enough for you to live a fulfilling life?

Here are four simple changes that can make your life more meaningful. If you really want to live a prosperous life.

Keep On Learning

Constant earning is a great way to give your life more meaning and direction. Ultimately, one of the things that the brain craves most is growth. If it isn’t challenged to learn and grow, then it will shrink and we will become set in our ways. One wise man once said, what you’ll become in the next five years will be determined by the people you mixed up with and the type of book you read. This signifies how important learning is. Take up a book today and learn something new. It will no doubt add more value to your lifestyle. Make it your job to constantly learn new skills and pursuits. That can be related to your career, a hobby, or even a new language!

Improve On Your Relationships

Apart from learning, having a pleasant relationship with your spouse, hubby, friends, co-workers, relatives, and virtually everyone you have one or two things to do together will no doubt add more value and meaning to your life. Relationships are one of the things that we really need to be happy. If you don’t have meaningful relationships, then you’ll have no one to share your experiences, your challenges, your sorrow or happy moments, and your triumphs with.

A truly ‘meaningful’ relationship goes beyond friends of friends that you only ever meet in a group. This is someone that you can have a deep heart-to-heart with and who has a long and storied history with you.

Challenge Yourself To Do New Things

What’s also necessary for life to feel meaningful is a challenge and to some extent, risk.

Have you ever been in a situation that was truly a life and death situation? Or perhaps that put you in a situation where you were close to accomplishing something truly amazing? And you can never forget the moments people are laughing with you as they congratulate you for being a success.

These are the moments when the brain focuses on and engages with the world. These are the moments when we learn and when we realize the worth of what we have. It puts things in perspective and creates stories. Unforgettable stories!!!

Please, Don’t shy away from the things that test your endurance level

Travel, Travel, And Travel

Finally, everyone should seek to have some travels in their lives. This doesn’t mean you have to backpack across the desert – but simply being able to experience new sights and new people is important to keep your mind open and your experiences varied. If you don’t have the budget to go away, then come up with an adventure you can enjoy a little closer to your home. Adventure to new places will definitely open your mind and eyes to something you might have thought can never possible to be possible after all.

Can you discover your discoverer?

There are quite a number of people in the history of mankind that have contributed in one way or the other by bringing a considerable improvement in the life of their fellow human beings.

They are able to do this by possessing the ability and wherewithal to discover the inner intellect others possessed and how these abilities can be utilized in order to benefit their community, state, country or the world at large.

The remark made by Andrew Carnegie that he won his success based on the fact that he possessed the knack and ability to pick the right men to handle any specific job to its logical conclusion has known to be one of the classic speech ever made in history. Augustus Caesar was also able to build up and extended the power of the Roman Empire because he possessed ability to know men.

The careers of Disraeli, Napoleon, Lincoln, Charlemagne, Washington as well as other empire builders and saviours hold their places in history because they knew the methods to be adopted to recognize, select and develop to the highest degree the abilities of their co-workers.

These people of high integrity and accolades attained their high station in the real sense of it largely because of their ability to unearth men of genius. people like Theodore N. Vail, James J. Hill, Morgan, and other builders of industrial and commercial empires worked tirelessly to lay a very strong foundation by almost infallible wisdom in the selection of their lieutenants.

The world of sports has also made known people like Moran, Carrigan, Chance, Stallings, while in the recent time people like Mourinho (the Special One), Sir Alex Fergusson, Arsene Wenger (the Professor) are known for their special talent that make it extremely very easy for them to locate the talented footballers that can deliver at any particular point in time. These people shine chiefly because of their keen judgment of human nature. Another known man in the history of mankind that was known to possess this extra-ordinary trait of discovering people with special abilities is Pericles in Athens.

If a supreme judge of latent talent and inspirer of high achievement can thus always find material ready to his hand, then it follows that humanity is undoubtedly rich in undiscovered genius--that, in the race, there are, unguessed and undeveloped, possibilities for a millennium of Golden Ages. Psychologists after much findings have made us to understand that only a very small percentage of the real ability and energy of the average man is ever developed or used.

"Poor man!" says a reviewer, speaking of a contemporary, "he never discovered his discoverer." The man who waits for his Pericles usually waits in vain. There has been only one Pericles in all history. Great geniuses in the discovery, development, and management of men are rare.

Most men never meet them. And yet every man can discover his discoverer.
Self-knowledge is the first step to self-development. Through an understanding of his own aptitudes and talents one may find fullest expression for the highest possibilities of his intellect and spirit. A man who thus knows himself needs no other discoverer. The key to self-knowledge is intelligent, scientific self-study.

In the year 1792, Mahmoud Effendi, a Turkish archer, hit a mark with an arrow at 482 yards. His bow, arrows, thumb-ring and groove are still on exhibition in London as proof of the feat. His prowess lay in his native gift, trained by years of practice, to guess the power of his bow, the weight and balance of his arrow, and the range and direction of his target; also, the sweep of the wind. This he gained by observations repeated until the information gathered from them amounted to almost exact knowledge. Thousands of gunners to-day hit a mark miles away, with a 16-inch gun, not because they are good guessers, but because, by means of science, they determine accurately all of the factors entering into the flight of their projectiles.

Discover yourself through self-assessment. This will go a long way in telling you your capability, interest, values and any other trait that will propel you to get to your dream without being disappointed.
Thank you.

5 Unusual Jobs Available To You With A Nursing Degree

5 Unusual Jobs Available To You With A Nursing Degree

In the year 2014, one statistical report was released which showed that there would be 3.6 million new jobs available in the medical profession, and the majority of the bulk of these jobs which is about 60% will be available to those having one kind of degree or another in nursing. Till today there has been a consistent increase in demand for the nursing profession.

This high demand for registered nurses is increasing by the day and the report from the Bureau of Labour Statistics has estimated that the number of jobs that would be available for registered nurses that same year will increase by nothing less than 27% by the end of the year 2014. This will also increase opportunities for certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses, nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants,, and those known to be in medical technical fields like phlebotomy and pulmonology.

And for those who believe that nurses' jobs are mainly for those in hospitals and facilities alone, the Bureau of Labor Statistics has, however, dispelled this rumor because less than 60% of registered nurses work in a hospital.

A nursing degree creates quite a number of opportunities for practitioners in so many fields. This has made a nursing degree one of the most versatile and useful degrees that you can work tirelessly to acquire because of the great importance attached to this profession.

A nursing degree not only provides these opportunities because it appeals to a wide range of people and this is evident with the rate at which so many people aspire to enter into the profession. . According to the Bureau of Labour Statistics, but about 20% of those entering the nursing workforce are also older workers starting on a second career.

So many people are attracted by rising salaries as well as other opportunities the profession affords its practitioners. To them, a nursing degree is a chance to do something that makes them feel good, and at the same time gives them dignity and respect while doing the job.

Whether you’ve just started your nursing career or you are returning to work after a hiatus, or even maybe you are switching to a career in nursing as a second career, you have to consider some of the opportunities that are open to you with a nursing degree. If truth be told the opportunities abound are many! I would like to talk about some of them. Let’s begin:

Pediatric Home Health Care is known to be one of the growing fields for those with nursing degrees. Every state in the Union now has some sort of Early Intervention program that identifies children under the age of three years with special needs. Pediatric home health care allows you to work with children and parents purposely to make a real difference in their lives.

Working in a Blood Donor Center is another window of opportunities open to you or having a nursing degree and this makes you part of the life-saving network. There’s more to blood donor centers than just starting IVs. Nurses who specialize in paresis can command high salaries, and a nurse working in the blood collection field can be a valuable community organizer as well as a medical practitioner.

Elder Home Health Care is at the other end of the spectrum. The existence of quite a number of old people popularly tagged ‘aging of America’ means that more and more people require a little bit of help to remain in their homes. Nursing assistants, registered nurses, and licensed nurses can come in to provide that little bit extra that will allow a senior citizen to maintain a higher quality of life and remain at home when all they need is a few hours of medical care a day or week. A nursing degree will open this window of opportunity for you.

On-Site Nursing is also a wide open field for medical workers with nursing degrees. You can work at an amusement park or zoo, in the medical office at a state or national park, or provide medical backup for the emergency workers at a beach or other recreational setting. If you choose to work on-site at a camp or other facility, this may attract an increased salary as well as other benefits which may include free tuition for your own family.

A Critical Care Transport Nurse requires multiple nursing degrees. This is one of the most interesting and fascinating nursing jobs available if you have a nursing degree. A CCT nurse accompanies patients being transported from home or a nursing facility to another nursing facility. The nurse is responsible for maintaining continuity of care for every patient for the duration – in the back of an ambulance. It’s a challenging and fun job that commands a salary commensurate with the experience required.
